Our Story
Embark on a journey with That’s What She Said Danville, where we celebrate the power of women's voices through captivating storytelling. Our mission is to weave a tapestry of shared experiences, fostering connections and empowering women to be authentic, brave, and vulnerable all while supporting the local Danville community. Join us as we amplify the voices of our community, one story at a time.
In 2023, That’s What She Said Danville took its first steps, joining the national movement of That’s What She Said by bringing it into our community. Since then, we’ve begun to put on annual shows that are beacons of inspiration, igniting conversations, and building bridges between different parts of our community.
This year, our journey continues as we partner with the She Said Foundation to bring even more strength to our show.

We also invite you to check out the Survivor Resource Center, our 2025 charity partner. They are on a mission to serve victims of sexual violence by providing counseling and advocacy services, and to promote awareness and prevention through specialized education programs, with the ultimate goal of ending sexual violence within our community.
The She Said Foundation
That's What She Said Danville 2026 is produced by The She Said Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a mission to create safe, empowering spaces where women and girls discover their voice, share their stories, and build communities that uplift and heal.
We are creating moments that move people and make a difference. From first-time storytellers finding their courage, to audiences leaving inspired, to entire communities discovering new connections, our impact is measured in confidence, connection, and community.
Looking ahead, The She Said Foundation is focused on growing that impact beyond any single stage or event. Their vision is to expand into new communities across the country, bringing more women into the circle of storytelling, developing youth programs that give girls the tools to find their voices early, and creating workshops that build confidence, connection, and lasting community.
Danville is part of that future. By joining forces with The She Said Project, we are combining our efforts to create a show like no other. We can't wait for you to see what we have in store for you on October 3rd, 2026.
John and Kay Shaner Theater
This year, we are happy to announce that our show will be taking place in the enchanting John and Kay Shaner Theater (2000 E Main St, Danville, IL 61832). This space will host our 8 speakers who will take the stage and bravely share their stories.
